Large antique late Victorian photo album measuring approximately 9 1/4" x 8". Features an embossed floral papier-mâché/gesso paper cover with a central lithograph portrait, velvet spine backing, and original metal clasp. Filled with authentic period portrait photography, including studio cabinet cards and gem-sized tintypes. Highlights: Large format album (9 1/4" x 8") Studio portrait cabinet cards featuring small-town photographer marks (including "Robins, Jonesboro, Ark." and "L.D. Wood, Sumner, Ill.") Multiple tintype portraits housed in original die-cut album window pages Original metal side latch mechanism attached Condition: Antique As-Is condition. The embossed paper top layer shows heavy edge flaking, wear to the gesso coat, and corner wear exposing the board beneath. Velvet spine exhibits fading and wear. Interior window pages are intact with light age-toning. Photos exhibit typical Victorian-era silvering and aging. Sold complete with all original contents as shown.
