Product Details

This vintage soda siphon features a clear glass body entirely encased in a woven metal mesh jacket. It is topped with a polished chrome-plated metal head and operating lever. Sparklets revolutionized home carbonation in the late 19th and early 20th centuries by introducing portable siphons that used small compressed gas chargers. The protective wire mesh casing was an essential safety feature designed to contain potential glass shrapnel if the pressurized vessel failed. These decorative siphons became staples of mid-century home cocktail bars and are heavily collected today for vintage barware displays.
