Vintage West German blown-glass Christmas ornament in the shape of a drum. Features a frosted metallic gold finish with molded geometric drum detailing and dark mica/glitter accents around the rims and diagonal lines. The original metal cap is marked West Germany/W. Germany, dating the ornament to the postwar West German period. Based on the construction, finish and decoration, it is estimated to date from approximately the 1950s–1960s. Displays attractive age-related patina and wear consistent with a mid-century glass ornament. A great addition to a collection of vintage German, mercury glass or mid-century Christmas decorations.
