The design features a rugged Texas cowboy with hat and cigar, Texas details, and a 1936 date incorporated as part of the artwork. The engraving creates true sculpted depth directly into the metal — this is not printed, painted, or simply surface marked. Because every original war nickel has its own wear, toning and surface characteristics, every finished engraving comes out a little different.
