Wonderful old mixed button collection with a wide variety of sizes, colors, materials and eras. Includes mother-of-pearl/shell-type buttons, metal and metal-shank buttons, carved and molded designs, coat buttons, older composition/plastic examples and several pieces that appear consistent with vintage corozo/vegetable ivory. Some may date to the early 20th century, while others are later vintage. Buttons are being sold as an assorted collection and have not been individually material- or age-tested. Expect normal age-related wear, remnants of thread and occasional surface wear. Excellent lot for button collectors, sewing, costume restoration, junk journals, assemblage art, jewelry making and mixed-media crafts. Glass jar included.
