Original 1915 Hungarian 20 Korona charity receipt/certificate issued for the Magyar Nők Korona-Alapja, or Hungarian Women’s Crown Fund, during World War I. The fund was established to provide assistance to the widows and orphans of fallen Hungarian soldiers. This certificate acknowledges a contribution of 20 Korona and was issued through the Royal Hungarian Ministry of Defence’s War Relief Office. Printed at the Royal Hungarian State Printing Office in Budapest in 1915, as indicated along the lower edge. This is not a standard circulating 20 Korona banknote, but an official WWI-era charitable donation receipt/certificate with an ornate period design.
