Beautiful antique Edward Walley & Son English stone china / ironstone serving platter, dating to approximately 1858–1862. Made in Cobridge, Staffordshire, England, this substantial oval platter features a softly molded rim and decorative bow-and-leaf handles at each end. The creamy white glaze has developed extensive fine crazing and subtle age toning, giving it wonderful mid-Victorian character. The underside bears the printed STONE CHINA / E.W. & SON maker’s mark, identifying Edward Walley & Son, the Cobridge pottery partnership active in the late 1850s and early 1860s. Measures approx. 10” x 14.5”. Antique condition with extensive age crazing, light staining/discoloration, glaze wear, scratches, and minor age-related imperfections throughout. No obvious major crack or repair visible in the photos. Please review photos closely.
