Eagle and legend still there. O clear. Original gray — no bath. .900 silver. 12.44 g. ASW 0.360 oz. Mintage 2,628,000. Obv: Seated Liberty, cap and pole, 1859. Rev: Eagle, shield, O, HALF DOL. 1859: John Brown hits Harpers Ferry. The country stops pretending. Oregon is a state. Drake strikes oil in Pennsylvania. The Comstock Lode opens in Nevada.
