Beautiful antique Chinese Canton celadon porcelain plate, approximately 6” diameter, decorated with colorful butterflies and flowers in traditional famille rose enamels. The soft celadon-green ground is embellished with wonderfully dimensional raised enamel decoration, including multiple butterflies or moths, pink roses, blossoms and leafy vines. A subtle gilt rim finishes the piece. The reverse displays an underglaze-blue Chinese seal-style mark within the foot. A lovely smaller companion piece for a collection of Canton celadon, Chinese export porcelain, famille rose, Chinoiserie or Grandmillennial décor. Vintage/antique condition with age-related surface and enamel wear, minor discoloration and other signs of use visible in the photos.
