Beautiful vintage octagonal porcelain serving plate, approximately 11” across, featuring an elaborate Japanese-inspired floral design. The center is filled with colorful chrysanthemums and other blossoms in pink, blue, rust, yellow and green with extensive gilt detailing. A rich rust-red border is decorated with delicate gold floral scrollwork, finished with a fine gilt edge. The scalloped white center and geometric octagonal shape make this especially striking for display. Beautiful for Grandmillennial, Chinoiserie/Japonisme, traditional or collected interiors, whether displayed on a plate stand, incorporated into a gallery wall, or used as a decorative serving piece.
