Vintage 1989 Canadian Loonie one dollar coin features the iconic common loon floating on water with a pine-covered island in the background. The obverse displays the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Arnold Machin. This bronze-plated nickel coin has a distinctive eleven-sided (hendecagonal) shape and shows characteristic circulation wear, including surface scratches and a natural aged patina.
