Jesus at the Movies takes you behind the scenes of the many films that have tried to tell the story of Jesus. From epic Bible movies filled with huge sets and unforgettable scenes to films that take a much darker or more personal look at his life, each movie gives us a different version of the man at the center of Christianity. As the book moves from film to film, it asks what these movies leave in, what they leave out, and why they choose to show Jesus the way they do. For film lovers, it’s a chance to revisit famous movies, spot the details you may have missed, and see how the same story can change completely depending on who is telling it.
