Product Details

VERY very likely early Miriam Haskell / Frank Hess work because of: Extensive hand-wrapping/wiring around the central metal stem. The individual orange and green components appear to be separately mounted and wired, rather than simply glued onto a conventional brooch. The three-dimensional fruit/leaf cluster is very much in the Hess vocabulary. The unusual molded/pressed glass forms and combination of orange, dark green and gilt metal are consistent with documented early Haskell pieces. Most importantly, the long exposed wrapped-wire construction is significant. Documented Hess pieces use elaborate hand-wired construction and could be unsigned.
