This is a lovely vintage children’s adventure book — Pete of the Wild Grass Country by Rex Dixon. This copy is a 1954 first edition, published by Thomas Nelson & Sons and illustrated by Jack Harman. It’s over 70 years old now, and I love the classic adventure feel of the cover and illustrations. It does show some age, as you’d expect, but that’s part of the charm. A really nice piece for anyone who collects vintage children’s books, Australian-interest adventure stories, or simply loves old books with character.
