This is a beautiful porcelain transferware 6" diameter saucer with some handpainted accents. Marked "Made in Japan." This saucer dates pre-WWII, 1941. This saucer features blue images of birds (Phoenix), flowers, small hearts and scrollwork design on a white background. Heavily glazed with some crazing developing. This saucer would look beautiful with a small cloche on top (see example picture of cloche. Not included). Note last two pictures is the light shining through the saucer.
