Product Details

Beautiful early 1900s studio portrait of a stylish young woman from the Silverstein family in St. Louis in an elaborate period outfit, complete with long skirt, high collar, floral accents and feathered hat. Wonderful full-length composition with great fashion detail. Original mounted photograph with an embossed photographer/studio mark reading 1109 Franklin Ave., St. Louis, Missouri. The photographer’s signature/name is embossed above the address but is difficult to decipher. Likely circa 1900–1910, based on the clothing and photographic mount style. The mount shows expected age, edge/corner wear and some surface marks as pictured. A striking piece for collectors of Edwardian fashion, antique photography, women’s history, St. Louis memorabilia, or turn-of-the-century ephemera.
