Beautiful antique Continental porcelain figurine depicting a young gentleman/pastoral figure dressed in an elaborate pale green jacket and cap with floral-patterned breeches. Features hand-painted decoration, delicate facial details, gilt accents, dimensional applied porcelain flowers and foliage, and an elaborate tree-form backdrop. The top of the tree is solid with a fixed hard porcelain insert and is not a vase. The underside bears impressed mold/model numbers but no clearly identifiable maker’s mark. Wonderful for an antique porcelain collection, romantic European décor, or a collected library vignette. Height: approx. 10.5” Likely origin: Continental Europe, possibly Germany Estimated era: c. 1890–1920
