Pattern: Chiswick, printed on the base. | HISTORY: Chiswick was introduced by Ridgways on their Royal Semi Porcelain body in 1897 and became one of the most collected late flow blue patterns, prized for the way the blue bleeds off the scalloped edge into the white. Ridgways were the great flow blue house of the Edwardian era and the pattern was sold complete with tureens, gravy boats and butter pats for the American market. | CONDITION: Gilt worn on the scrolls, fine crazing front and back, light staining and a few brown spots on the reverse, light utensil wear in the well.
