A Georgian design in the prettiest lavender. Spode's Woodman scene, first engraved around 1816: a young woodman with his axe and bundle of faggots stopping to speak with a mother and child resting beneath a bare tree, a church spire in the distance, all inside a wide rope-twist band and a rich primrose and acanthus border on a scalloped rim. Printed from the original hand-engraved copper plate. | SPECS: Approx 10.5 in diameter, scalloped rim. Maker: Spode, Made in England, c.1990s-2000s.
