This is a Bakelite suicide knob that was used on car steering wheel. This one has been tested using semichrome polish. There is a little ship steering wheel design in the very center of the knob. Can be seen in the photos. There is some damage to the clear part of the knob as can be seen in the photos. But this is a very cute piece of Bakelite that I have never seen in all my years of collecting. Anything that is vintage is going to show some signs of its age.
