This pair of handcarved wooden letter openers were an estate find that were attributed to a N.C. artist named Richard Murray. They are unsigned. The larger one is 8" long and features an old man with a hat - looks like a wizard to me. The smaller opener is 6-1/2" long and features an old man with a slouchy hat like a gnome or Santa would wear. Made of a soft wood. The condition is as shown in the photographs. Unfinished raw wood.
