Vintage Roger & Gallet Paris Tea Rose Perfumed Soap With Container 3.5 Oz. Roger and Gallet soap container. Mid-century. Brothers in-law Armond Roger and Charles Gallet began their company in 1862 in Paris. Their round soap was made in a cauldron, molded, wrapped, and boxed. This container is an early plastic from the 1940's or 50's. Some listings claim celluloid or bakelite but I can't confirm that. Beautiful condition. 3 1/8" diameter, 1 1/2" total thickness. Soap package also says by appointment to H.M. Queen Elizabeth II
