Midcentury Stuart Nye sterling silver brooch. In 1933, without any prior experience, Nye began making hand wrought silver pins based on flowers he saw outside his window in North Carolina. This brooch features 2 dogwoods with raised centers and engraved details. It is marked on the back with the Nye hallmark and sterling. This hallmark does have some wear and is only partially visible. It measures 1.25” x 3.5”. The pin has a very slight bend in it but it is otherwise in great vintage condition.
