Antique Japanese Tanaka Igamokami Fujiwara Yoshitsugu Bronze Mirror Black and Gold Lacquer Case 19th Century Edo Period. Of typical form, cast and carved with bamboo, pine, cranes and minogame (turtles) on a rocky shore, the mirror face applied with a reflective layer of tin, handle wrapped in bamboo, raised signature 'Tanaka' Iga (no) Kami Fujiwara Toshitsugu; the black lacquer mirror case decorated with gold Mon Mitsuwari Kikyo. Mirror is approximately 10.5" across and 15.5" long. Case shows some wear, please see photos.
