This is a German lusterware serving bowl, recognizable by its iridescent finish, intricate floral, designs, and gold accents. Lusterware from Germany, particularly from the late 19th to early 20th century was highly valued for its craftsmanship and elegance. It is 9” in circumference x 2 1/2” high the bottom is 5” in diameter. It is in good condition with some small grey marks shown in the photo, and it does have some light crazing. It features a beautiful palette of violet, gold, rose, pinks, greens and gold designs. The bowl features scalloped edges with a gradient of pastel colors, gold, filigree patterns, an essential floral motif, which were common design elements in German porcelain, and Leicester wear. It is likely made by one of the well-known German porcelain manufacturers, such as RS Prussia, Schumann, Bavaria, or Erdman Schlegelmilch. These companies produce decorative table where that was popular in Europe and North America.
