He co-created iconic characters, including Spider-Man, the X-Men, Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk, Ant-Man, the Wasp, the Fantastic Four, Black Panther, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, the Scarlet Witch, and Black Widow. Lee made cameo appearances as himself in every Marvel Cinematic Universe movie from Iron Man (2008) to Avengers: Endgame (2019), where he portrayed an informant for the Watchers.
