This rare natural Demantoid Garnet is incredible. It has beautiful bright green color to it and an amazing amount of sparkle. The name "demantoid" originates from the old German word "demant" which means "diamond-like". This stone was given this name because it yields a luster, dispersion and fire even higher than that of diamond. This stone is eye clean, however through a loupe, there are some visible striations.
