Description: Made of sterling silver (.925), sometimes with a cedar or wood lining. Features a rectangular shape with a hinged lid, sometimes with geometric or Art Deco styling. Size: Dimensions vary, but a common size is around 6.5 x 3.5 x 1.7 inches. Some are double-sized, measuring around 7.5 x 3.25 inches. Purpose: Originally designed to hold cigarettes, they can also be used as jewelry or trinket boxes.
