"Vampire in Brooklyn" is a 1995 horror-comedy film directed by Wes Craven and starring Eddie Murphy and Angela Bassett. The plot revolves around Maximillian, the last of a line of Caribbean vampires, who travels to Brooklyn in search of a dhampir (a half-human, half-vampire offspring) named Rita. He intends to make her his mate and continue his lineage. Rita, unaware of her heritage, is a police officer partnered with Justice, who is in love with her.
