A Peter Gudrunas piece with that "hidden" light-reactive swirl, • Artist: Peter Gudrunas (Solo signed "P. Gudrunas") • Chemistry: Reactive Silver/Amethyst Melt (Striking Glass). • Significance: At 11 inches, this is a "Gallery" scale piece. It's much rarer than the standard 6-8 inch vases found in boutiques. dichroic-adjacent. When the sunlight hits the silver and copper oxides trapped in the "Plum" melt, they reflect a blue-green spectrum, making the vase look like a shifting nebula. bowl and vase belong to the Aether (or "Expanded") style. This technique uses "veining"—where colors are pulled and stretched while the glass is molten—to create those gaseous, cloud-like swirls
