The original "Running Scared" is a 1986 action-comedy film about two wisecracking Chicago detectives, Ray Hughes and Danny Costanzo (played by Gregory Hines and Billy Crystal), who are known for their unorthodox methods. After an operation goes wrong, they are sent on forced vacation to Key West, where they decide to retire and open a bar. However, they learn their target, drug dealer Julio Gonzales, is back on the streets, prompting them to postpone their retirement to bring him to justice.
