Active since the 20th century, it primarily produces high-purity fluorite for industrial use, but it has become equally known among collectors for its beautiful specimens. Fluorite from this mine is typically cubic in form and ranges from clear to honey-yellow, often found perched on matrix or with associated barite, calcite, or sphalerite. The yellow coloration is attributed to trace inclusions and irradiation processes within the deposit. White barite crystals, as seen on this piece, are commonly found as accessory minerals, often forming attractive clusters that contrast beautifully with the fluorite's sharp geometry.
