Ant plants, also known as myrmecophytes, are plants that form a mutualistic relationship with ants, providing them shelter in hollow structures while receiving protection and nutrients in return. One example is the Hydnophytum genus, which has swollen stems that serve as homes for ant colonies. This plant will come with the terracotta self-watering pot.

I am a 10-year Army veteran, now passionately engaged in the world of rare plants. I was critically wounded in Iraq on Valentine’s Day 2006, when a roadside bomb severed my right leg above the knee, causing my heart to stop for 18 minutes.
