Sporlan Crankcase Pressure Regulating Valve, CROT-6-0/60, For 7/8" OD Many service guys do not know what this valve does and many of them have actually removed it from a system because they did not know what it does. This valve limits the crankcase pressure (compressor side) after defrost or on start up when the load is high. It throttles the gas back and limits the psi to the compressor untill the compressor can catch up. You set it to match the full load amps on the compressor. Once it is set you never have to touch it again. You can also use it on a low-temp condensing unit used on a medium temp application and again, set the psi to the condensing units FLA or full load amps. Question? just ask.
