This is a complete set of THE LORD OF THE RINGS: EVOLUTION trading cards. This unique card series was produced in 2006 by TOPPS. The series consists of 72 different cards in all (#1-#72). Each card is printed on an all-foil card stock that shines nicely in person. The card fronts feature images of characters taken directly from the trilogy of movies directed by Peter Jackson. Those featured in this all-character driven card set have each been place in alphabetical order (for the most part). The concept of the 2 photos shown on the front of the card is to show the "Evolution" of the characters, some of which have spanned through all 3 films. The card backs have detailed information of the character featured & an all-new 3rd photo. The cards have a special spotlight on all of the major actors from the movies including Viggo Mortensen, Liv Tyler, Ian Holm, Sean Bean, John Noble, Karl Urban, David Wenham, Elijah Wood, Ian McKellan, Orlando Bloom, Dominic Monaghan, Billy Boyd, Sean Astin
