This is a vintage Revlon "Love Pat" compact with an Art Nouveau-style faux cameo relief on the lid. The compact is gold-toned metal and originally held loose powder or solid perfume. It is considered a highly collectible item. The design has been attributed to Van Cleef & Arpels and is believed to be from the 1960s. The mirror is often found intact inside the lid.
