Launched in 1986 by Department 56, the Snowbabies collection was inspired by the original 'Snow Babies' figurines created by German porcelain makers in the early 20th century. These modern versions, designed by artist Kristi Jensen Pierro, are known for their creamy bisque porcelain and signature 'snow' texture, often featuring whimsical interactions with animals and stars.
