The Rema 9" x 1 3/4" is a classic, vintage round cake pan known for its "Air Bake" or insulated double-wall design. This particular pan is special in that is has three rubber/silicone (exact material unknown) "feet" on the bottom to help increase airflow - this is a rare find! This is a vintage, used item and does have some cosmetic damage, including scratches on its surface. - A double-wall construction with a layer of air trapped between two sheets of aluminum prevents the bottom and sides from overheating, leading to more even browning and preventing scorched edges. - Made of high-quality aluminum, which is preferred by many bakers for its excellent heat conductivity. - Specifically designed with a 9-inch diameter and a 1.75-inch depth, making it slightly shallower than standard 2-inch cake pans but ideal for tiered cakes.
