This exquisite collector's piece features an intricate landscape scene handcrafted using the traditional nunome-zogan (cloth-weave inlay) technique. The scene depicts iconic Japanese motifs, including Mount Fuji, a multi-tiered pagoda, a traditional bridge, and a sailing vessel, all meticulously inlaid with 24k gold and silver threads on a burnished black iron background. The reverse and interior feature additional motifs of birds in flight highlighting the comprehensive artistry of the Komai style.
