It forms in igneous and pegmatite environments as silica-rich fluids slowly crystallize. Its pink color is caused by trace amounts of iron, manganese, and titanium within the crystal structure. These specimens typically show a massive crystalline structure with a translucent to opaque appearance, often mounted on a metal stand to highlight the natural formation.
