Velvety Malachite — Yindu, China This is malachite in its natural druzy form rather than the polished banded look most people picture — a soft, velvety botryoidal crust of tiny crystals catching the light across its surface. It comes from Yindu, China, a locality known for producing well-formed natural malachite in this texture. Each piece arrives in a perky box with a printed label (Malachite, Yindu, China) — ready to display or add to a collection. Pick your specimen above — each one is photographed individually so what you see is exactly what you get. Malachite is a soft stone (3.5–4 on the Mohs scale) and can be sensitive to acids and prolonged handling — keep it dry and away from harsh cleaners. The velvety crystal surface is delicate, so handle by the base rather than the crust itself.
