The armies of heaven stood ready. This moving artwork captures the powerful moment reflected in Matthew 26:53 — that Christ could have called upon more than twelve legions of angels, yet chose to remain on the cross out of love for humanity. Above the three crosses, the heavens are filled with angels standing ready at a word from the Father. Their presence is not one of defeat, but of restraint, reminding us that the cross was not forced upon Christ. It was embraced willingly for the redemption of the world. Included with this 8x10 print is the accompanying devotional card, "Angels Stood Ready," which reflects on the depth of Christ's sacrifice and the immeasurable love that held Him there: "The angels stood ready. But Jesus chose the cross." This piece serves as a meaningful reminder of grace, sacrifice, and the love demonstrated at Calvary. It is especially fitting for prayer spaces, offices, studies, family rooms, or anywhere faith and reflection are part of daily life. Included: • One 8x10 unframed art print • One matching devotional card titled Angels Stood Ready • Professionally printed artwork • Printed on premium paper • Ships unframed and ready for your choice of display or framing Follow us on social media @HoneysuckleAndKudzu © 2026 Honeysuckle & Kudzu.
