Set of dressed, anthropomorphic horses (or donkeys/mules) Hand-painted. 1950s Japan. Features & Dimensions: ​Female (in dress): Measures approximately 4" tall. ​Male (in trousers): Measures approximately 3 ¾" tall. ​Style: 1950s Japanese novelty ceramics / Mid-Century modern kitsch. ​Details: Complete with original pour holes on the backs of their heads. ​Condition Notes: Both shakers display beautifully with bright colors and glossy glazing. There is a very small, tiny little nip on the tip of the male donkey's ear, which is highlighted for transparency in the very last photo. No other major flaws, cracks, or repairs detected.
