Original vintage color photograph of the Jeil Theater, identified by the large Korean sign "제일극장" across the top of the building. Large illustrated movie advertisements are displayed above the entrance, including a poster reading "Gatsby." Bicycles, pedestrians, and the surrounding street provide an excellent view of everyday urban life in 1970s South Korea. The precise city has not been confirmed. This is a particularly appealing image for collectors of Korean cinema, movie-theater history, vintage advertising, bicycles, and Asian street photography. Measures approximately 3.5" × 5". Original period photograph from a U.S. Air Force-associated South Korea album. Shows age-related fading, toning, and light wear.
