This is in a hardcover clamshell case with a leather handle which is in good condition. The clamshell closes with a snap which works. This book would be used by a salesman calling upon book store owners and showing them what the covers and spines would look like on these books, options that were available, and how the text block and illustrations would appear. The books included in this salesman book are Merry Times with Toys and Rhymes, The Life Story of the Hero of Manila, Favorite Son's and Daughters of America and The Teaching of Jesus and the Lives of His Apostles. The illustrations and color plates are amazing in this sample book. It includes a prospectus for each book, an overview in the back of the book, and order form which only has two lines used.
