Old Stock Oregon Thunderegg Pair 🌸⚡ A gorgeous cut & polished Oregon thunderegg pair, cut by me! These two halves came from the same stone but look surprisingly different. One features beautiful pink common opal with reddish-brown tones, while the other shows a completely different pattern. The pink common opal did crumble a little during cutting, but it still took a solid polish! Natural fractures, texture, and imperfections are part of this piece’s character. Thundereggs formed millions of years ago in volcanic rhyolite when gas bubbles created cavities later filled with silica and minerals. They’re Oregon’s official state rock! 🌋 ✨ Crystal lore: Pink common opal is associated with emotional soothing, self-love, compassion, and gentle healing, while the thunderegg matrix is traditionally linked with grounding and protection. Often connected to the Heart & Root Chakras.
