Authentic 1910s Edwardian linen and lace lingerie dress with its original coordinating waist tie. “Lingerie dress” is the historical name for this lightweight, lace-trimmed style of summer or tea dress. It was fashionable outerwear and would originally have been worn over a separate slip or underdress. PROVENANCE From the M. Estella Sprague Costume Collection. MEASUREMENTS • Bust: Approximately 40 inches • Waist: Approximately 26 inches CONDITION Broad light discoloration and several tiny spot stains from age and storage.
