Omega “Barcode” Automatic Day-Date, 35mm gold plated cushion case, early 1970s Omega spent the early 1970s moving its automatics into square and cushion cases, and this is one of the better-resolved versions. The soft-cornered TV case carries a champagne dial ruled in fine vertical lines, the reason it gets called a Barcode, banded around a brushed center, with applied faceted markers that catch the light against the texture. The day and date sit together at three behind a single gold-framed window.
