Group of seven 18th- and 19th-century zoological prints depicting mammals in both scientific and picturesque settings, including Le Blaireau (badger), La Chèvre Naine (dwarf goat), Le Campagnol (vole), reindeer, fallow deer, members of the Mustelinae family, and Harrison William Weir’s Katty’s Wild Beast. Drawn from natural history publications including Buffon’s Histoire Naturelle, The National Encyclopaedia, and other illustrated zoological works, the group reflects the period’s interest in animal classification, comparative natural history, and decorative wildlife illustration.
