Absolutely fabulous vintage geometric purple statement necklace with an architectural Art Deco Revival design. Features multiple matching geometric stepped/zigzag stations set with elongated purple faceted glass rhinestones, a large rectangular faceted purple center stone, dramatic vertical center drop and matching marquise/navette-style purple stones on each side. The stones have gorgeous dimensional faceting and flashes of pink, violet and blue depending on the light. The necklace is finished with an unusual patented ball-and-socket snap clasp marked “PAT. 2007 / USA PAT. 4074400.” The patent marking identifies the patented fastening mechanism; it does not establish the jewelry maker or mean the necklace itself was manufactured in 2007. The same patent clasp appears on a wide variety of vintage jewelry.
